Coaching gives you a dedicated, confidential space to pause, reflect and be truly heard by someone who listens without judgement, asks insightful questions and helps you make sense of what's on your mind. Sessions are typically an hour and take place online via Zoom or Teams.
With over 25 years of leadership experience, I’ve worked across sectors and continents — from leading a charity in Uganda, to training and supporting leaders in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. My background includes roles in teaching, youth work management, church leadership, training, facilitation and extensive leadership development of people in business, education and the third sector.
With a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Theology and Politics, I’m also a qualified teacher, Certified Life Coach* and Executive Coach*, and one of the founding directors of Moringa — a leadership development business that helps purpose-driven organisations build healthy, thriving cultures.
I live in West Wales, along with my husband, daughter and dog, and am growing my ability to speak Welsh!
I love travel, walking, initiating social gatherings and making the most of our beautiful coast and countryside.

"As a headteacher, I can easily feel isolated as it's not always appropriate to talk through tough decisions or heavy caseloads with colleagues. Having Ruth by my side over the last few years has provided me with an invaluable space to debrief, offload and reset. Ruth provides me with the space to try out different directions and talk through potential barriers. She provides scope for me to see how I can improve myself in order to unlock and empower the change I want to see - both within myself and in my school. Ruth’s calm, considered manner has allowed me space to grow and feel confident in my role within my school and my wider organisation."
"A truly gifted and resourceful lady, a session with Ruth is packed full of wisdom, kindness and empathy. She is so naturally easy to get along with and this ability combined with tactful and timely questions makes a session with her beneficial and enjoyable.
She helped to bring clarity to a situation I had not fully internalised in an encouraging and straightforward manner and I truly felt more positive about the way forward after my time with her. Highly recommend."
"Working with Ruth has been a thoroughly positive experience. She is an exceptional listener, consistently engaged, and attuned to the nuances of what I brought to each session. Ruth’s ability to ask thoughtful, probing questions helped me explore issues on a deeper level—particularly around emotions I had previously struggled to understand.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ruth. She brings warmth, insight, and a grounded presence to the process—and I’m grateful for the journey we’ve shared."
"I can be a closed book at times, but Ruth made me feel comfortable to open up about things I had never really talked to anyone about before.
I found Ruth to be straight-talking, compassionate, thought-provoking & insightful and I am incredibly grateful for the time we spent together. "
"As someone in need of help to re-imagine my worklife and to re-establish my strengths and abilities, I cannot recommend Ruth more highly. She was attentive, thoughtful and a great listener. She is naturally friendly and empathetic and good fun to meet with."
"I found these sessions so useful! They were a little oasis where I could reflect on my practice and felt really able to be open and honest as Ruth was so kind, human, non-judgemental, asked great questions and was completely separate from the workplace."
"I have found my coaching sessions with Ruth very useful to develop me personally and professionally. The safe, confidential space provided helped me enormously to ‘offload’ and then reflect on my practice, my behaviour, my attitude, my thinking, and my work ethics. This helped me develop different perspectives on workplace practices which developed me into becoming a more confident leader. I found the session not only developmental but also therapeutic as I feel much more energised after each session.”
"Coaching sessions with Ruth made a huge and positive difference to me and my life at a time when I most needed support. Long-term work-related anxiety left me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and unable to think clearly or rationally about decisions I had to make.
Ruth provided compassion and empathy through non-judgmental listening and careful questioning helping me gain a new and healthier insight on myself. This fresh perspective has reduced my anxiety and symptoms dramatically and given me the self-belief and confidence to move forward."
"I began coaching with Ruth at a time when I was not on top of things - home, study, work and children. My biggest difficulty was meal planning, food shopping and cooking for a family who all eat different things. Ruth coached me through making it easier, breaking my ideas into small manageable tasks. A few weeks later, I have a new system which is running like clockwork and a daily burden is lifted. Ruth is a good listener and excels in looking at the bigger picture as well as the little details. The coaching has helped me get quality time back with my children and made me feel in control of my life again, and empowered!"
